Questions before you buy
Which motherboard socket do I need?
Your processor decides the socket, and sockets are not interchangeable. AMD Ryzen processors fit AM5 or AM4 boards, and Intel Core processors fit LGA 1851 or LGA 1700 boards. AM5 and LGA 1851 boards use DDR5, AM4 boards use DDR4, and LGA 1700 boards are made in both DDR4 and DDR5 versions, so check the memory type on the product page.
How do the ASRock series names compare?
Taichi is ASRock's flagship enthusiast series and Phantom Gaming is its gaming range. Steel Legend sits in the middle, and Challenger and Pro are the value ranges.
What is a barebone server?
A barebone is a server chassis with the motherboard already fitted, and usually a power supply. You add the processor, memory and storage yourself.
What is ASRock Rack?
ASRock Rack is the server and workstation side of the ASRock range: motherboards and barebone systems for AMD EPYC and Intel Xeon platforms, plus add-in cards for networking and remote management.
