Due to the VIA chipset, this hard disk enclosure supports SuperSpeed USB with up to 10 Gbps transfer speed. Thus, the full SATA 6 Gb/s transfer rate of the hard disk can be exploited.

The external enclosure is connected to a PC or laptop via a USB Type-Câ„¢ female port installed on the housing.
